Lasagna ~ Traditional Style ~ Recipe

  • 1 box Lasagna Noodles
  • 1 pound Ground Hamburger
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 can Mushrooms sliced
  • 1 container Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 cans Pasta Sauce


Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Assemble all ingredients on counter.

Prepare noodles according to package, drain and rinse in cold water.

Brown hamburger and onions in skillet on stove top.

Using 9×13 baking pan, layer ingredients: noodles, sauce, meat, onions, cheese, noodles, ricotta, mushrooms, cheese, noodles, sauce, meat, cheese.

Repeat as necessary until all ingredients are used or pan is full.

I generally have to finish using ingredients in a second pan. It seems like I never can manage to make just a single pan of lasagna!

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
