    YES…comfort food at it’s best. Love the fact you prepared this in a cast iron skillet. Even more rustic and delicious. You can never go wrong serving this any time of year.

    Love a good chicken pot pie and this one looks so good and easy to make. Soon we will start making soups almost every day at home when the cooler climate starts setting in. Saving this for later.

    • One of these days I need to make, photo and write up the beef pot pie recipe … that’s a favorite around here, too. But I’m with you, chicken is best!

    This certainly is comfort food. I’ve never made pot pie and I’ve never seen it made with biscuits. What a nice way to get the bread to soak up the yummy gravy. I think I’d prefer it this way to a pie crust.

    • The biscuits do a fabulous job of catching the gravy, I like them better than regular crust … altho, I’ll be honest, I’ve not met a chicken pot pie that I didn’t like LOL

    Chicken pot pie is ultimate comfort food, that is filling with chicken and veggies. I usually make with puff pastry crust, your idea of using biscuit dough is very nice.

    • Oooo, puff pastry, I’ll bet that’s wonderful. I’ve never worked with puff pastry, but this would be a good way to try it out – as the top crust, it would be perfect!

  5. Chicken Pot Pie is a staple in our house, I make it all year round, but more so in the winter!!! I love the idea of using the biscuits for the topping, will be switching mine up next time with this twist.

    This is one of the comfort foods I crave during fall and winter. Looks absolutely delicious. It’s super easy recipe to make so I’ll give it a try for sure.
