Ingredients

  • 15 ounce White Cake Mix Package
  • 2 large Egg
  • 1/3 cup Oil
  • 1/3 cup Water
  • Food Coloring
  • 12 ounce White Icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or as recommended on your cake mix box).
  2. Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Mine asked for the eggs, water and oil as mentioned in the ingredients list.

  3. Divide cake batter as follows: 1/4 in small bowl, 1/4 in small bowl, 1/2 remaining in original bowl.
  4. Add red food coloring to 1/4 cake batter.

  5. Add blue food coloring to 1/4 cake batter.
  6. Grease Bundt cake pan. Pour in half of the white cake batter (1/4 of total)
  7. Pour blue cake batter over the white. Tip the pan so your batter is unevenly distributed.
  8. Add red cake batter over the blue. Tip the pan and use a spoon to spread batter up the edge of the pan a bit.

  9. Top the red batter with the remaining white cake batter.
  10. Bake as directed (usually 40-50 minutes).

  11. Allow to cool, then turn out of Bundt pan.
  12. Frost and serve.

  13. Note on food coloring: start with a few drops, stirring to see color depth. Add more a few drops at a time until you reach the desired level of color.
